Helping Homeowners Make Confident Generator Decisions
Finovo is an independent resource created by Gonzalo Rodríguez to help homeowners navigate home backup power — from choosing the right generator to understanding installation permits and electrical code requirements.
Losing power during a storm or outage is stressful enough without also having to decode kW ratings, transfer switch wiring, or local permit rules. Finovo was built to close that gap.
Our Mission
To help homeowners choose, install, and maintain backup power systems safely and confidently — without the guesswork. We believe that protecting your home during an outage shouldn’t require becoming an electrician. Our goal is to translate technical generator and electrical-code information into clear, practical guides you can actually use.
Who’s Behind Finovo
Finovo is run by Gonzalo Rodríguez, based in Spain. Every guide on this site is researched and written with one goal: giving homeowners the same clarity a good electrician or generator installer would give them, in plain language, before they spend thousands of dollars on equipment and installation.
What We Cover
- Choosing a Generator: Portable vs. standby, inverter vs. conventional, and sizing a unit correctly for your home.
- Installation & Permits: Transfer switches, wiring basics, and local code requirements before you install.
- Fuel & Maintenance: Gas, propane, diesel, and solar options, plus safety and upkeep.
- Brand & Model Comparisons: Independent breakdowns of leading brands and models to help you compare before you buy.
